Yesterday, I had the strongest feeling that the package from my sis-in-law will arrive. And it did. We had been looking forward to it for weeks!

I got so much girlie stuff from her. This wasn’t the first time she sent us a package but this was more exciting than the last one. So my husband and I got some soap bars, lotions, whitening toothpastes, scented toothbrushes, scented candles, some multivitamins,some canned goods, cereals, chocolates and more. However, the highlight of what I had received are these:

1. L’Oreal Lipstick. I am not a lipstick girl but I do wear some for special occasions that require make-up or work. I think this will be my favorite so far because: One – its L’Oreal for crying out loud! Two: I love the shade of color and how it feels on my lips. Feels like I only have lipbalm on, so my lips feel moisturized instead of dry. I like the sublte pinkish sheen. I like pink and I like subtle.Good combination. Looks natural on me. Gives my lips a matte look and even tone. Love it! haha!

2. Victoria Secret Romantic Wish Body Mist . Aaah, love it! I’ve mentioned that I’m quite allergic to perfume so I never dared buy any fragrances. But this. It smells so…so…crazily soft and alluring.And My husband wants “alluring”. Ahem. Maybe I shall put my allergy to the test and see if Victoria Secret works for me. Maybe I won’t put too much. A little on the wrists or neck might be enough…I hope it works or it’s anti-histamine for me!

3. Victoria Secret Romantic Wish Body Butter. I really don’t know what I body butter does. I wonder if it works like lotion or better? What I love about is the scent like the body mist I got. It’s thicker,stickier and creamier than lotion but when I applied it, my skin felt satin soft and fragrant. The skin absorbs it well. You’ll know because when you sweat even a minute later, it won’t feel sticky on your skin. It’s the same property I love about Nivea.

4. DKNY Hoodie Sweater for pettites. I am pettite and I am glad that the sweater fits. This is the third one she sent me. The first was a pink winter jacket. It’s been in my wardrobe for months.The second is a green knitted turtleneck sweater. It’s still too thick for the coldest months in the Philippines so I kept it company with the winter jacket. But this one I got now is just perfect. Perfect for the rainy days and cold spells of Zamboanga. She might have noticed that I love jackets and sweaters. What I love best about it is the length of the sleeves. It’s not too long. The length of the sleeve itself stops right at my wrist but it has a flared extension that covers more than half my hand. The design is great because I usually get cold hands on cold days and it will serve the purpose.

5. Clinique Liquid Facial Soap. I love it. I can’t believe a small pea-size amount will produce that much lather. Skin felt so smooth and moisturized after using it.I remember my late Tita Chat used the Clinique set and she always  had great skin even for her age.Clinique is expensive here, so this isn’t something I’d enjoy the luxury of on ordinary days.

I also got Suave hair mousse and Almay Nearly Naked Loose Powder among others. But I haven’t got around to trying them yet so maybe I’ll blog about it later.

My sis-in-law says there are two more boxes to come and I wonder what’s in store for us!
