Lipbalm.
You might have expected a celfone. For others maybe that’s true.
When I was in college, I developed a habit to constantly moisturize my lips with my own saliva. Turns out that it wasn’t such a good idea, because believe it or not, saliva dries the lips faster than water. So overtime, I started noticing my lips are getting a bit chapped despite the nice weather and the constant cover of college classrooms. I ignored it and licked my lips more to ease that.
Big mistake. In a few days, my lips got swollen and so dry that I couldn’t stretch my mouth to laugh, eat in large gulps,or even smile.Good thing I didn’t have a boyfriend then, or else kissing would have been a problem too.
It didn’t look ugly.In fact, I looked like I was wearing lipstick. It was that red.And although I would have loved my lips to look that red naturally, it wasn’t at all comfortable. That’s when a gay friend of mine adviced that I should be using lipbalm. I bought Chapstick and for the first time, I was wearing lipbalm.
Over time, I discovered that Chapstick contained petrolatum and it wasn’t good for the lips in the long term. You see, it can darken your lips with constant use (like how lipstick does). Good thing my sister brought home another lipbalm from Japan with an all-natural ingredients.I loved it.It moisturized my lips so well. I forgot what it’s called, though.
Then a man in my life came along. Seeing that I had consumed another stick of lipbalm and that I was sort of desperate to find a new one without petrolatum, he gave me a present: Nivea Lipbalm. That’s how my partnership with Nivea Lipbalm started. I would wear it every day about 5 -10 times a day. Carry it with me wherever. And I always keep a spare in case I lose one (happend to me several times).I get crazy and uncomfortable with out it. My lips are just so pampered that way. I guess I just don’t wanna go back to the times I got swollen lips.
Not only that. Nivea lipbalm has a range of different kinds for your different needs. There are those used specifically repair chapped lips, or for everyday use which comes in different flavors and colors.
Mine’s Cherry Kiss.I love the smell of it,the subtle cherry sweetness and the red sheen on my lips.Plus, my husband loves to kiss me with it on! So if it wears off, I apply it again and again and again…
So, I’m never without it. Forgot my celphone?Heck, I can live with that.
