I’m back to photographing mode again! Once again, I’ve forgotten how photography excites me. Much more now that my husband and I always wanted a place just for the 2 of us. So that’s double the excitement!

It’s a beautiful day!

Heart thumping, I hailed a taxi at 8:15 a.m. In a strangely confident voice, I told the driver to take me to NAIA Terminal 3. I was glad it was a Saturday so I didn’t have to worry about traffic shooting up my taxi fare.
15 minutes later, I arrived at the airport safely, pepper spray still clutched tightly in my hand. It was quite a long walk to the arrival area but I was 45 minutes early, so I decided to take a look around the airport. As I began to shiver (air conditioning was too cold!), I decided to head back to the waiting area, where other people too, are waiting for their loved ones to arrive. Read the rest of this entry »

My husband is arriving this Saturday and I haven’t seen him in a month. I’m grateful for the unlimited calls the networks now have or my husband had to endure Php5,000 worth of calls in just a few weeks. I know he had, when I ran (or flew) off to Makati for a training 4 years before.
Since my first day is all I have to wait, I’ve been frustratingly idle for about 7 days now waiting for his flight to come, save the times when I find a book to read. So what was I up to, to while away the time? I watch sad, romantic movies.
Just 2 days ago, my friends and I watched “And I Love You So.” Yes, it starred the ever gorgeous Derek Ramsey, cute boy-next-door Sam Milby and a sexier Bea Alonzo.
I LOVED IT! (This is saying something because I almost never watch Filipino romantic movies because I think they’re too cheesy.)

So today, I gathered up my confidence to apply for the companies I eyed on a few weeks ago. As I left the house, I realized I only had P20. Looking at my high-heeled shoes, I sighed with resignation that again, I’m going to have blisters for having to walk about 2 blocks to the ATM. I reminded my self that if I nailed the job, the blisters are going to be worth it.
At 10 a.m. I was interviewed right away ( which I didn’t expect because walk-in applicants usually just drop their resumes and leave). I got a series of interviews which lasted until 4 p.m.
Do you have that feeling that you somehow know you’re going to be hired? Well, I got that feeling today.
And this is only for one company. What a day. I just hope they give me the salary I want or else what I just went through was a complete waste of time.

No, I haven’t deserted my blog. Please let me explain (if anybody does want explaining ^-^)
A few weeks ago I’ve moved across the Philippines wanting to start a new city (and independent) life with my husband. Reluctantly, I left him in Zamboanga City so I could find a job and an apartment for us to move into.
I am about to turn down an employment that was presented to me days after I got here and I ended up deciding to take that condo that I think is too expensive after getting blisters on my feet for painstakingly searching under the scourching heat of the sun, so imagine the frustration I got myself into. As if this wasn’t enough, I too (along with other friends) were also victims of typhoon Ondoy.
Just to give you the idea what I’ve been through… (water starts to rise at this point)
So now, I’m back to square one. Job hunting once more and fresh new blisters are popping out once again. I don’t have my camera, I have so little money, I miss my nephews and my neice, my parents…and my husband! How can I ever go through this?
BUT, I have faith in God and He knows my intentions so I trust that all’s going to be alright.
